Real estate for sale in Kenya

Even some fifteen years ago, no one would have thought that Kenya would become one of the most visited countries on the African continent by tourists. Now, looking at the streets of cities filled with walking guests of the country, and new buildings being built here and there, one involuntarily begins to believe in the further prospects of the rapid development of this state. What is it that attracts foreign citizens of various ages and marital status here so massively (elderly people, couples with children, newlyweds), and investors are looking for an opportunity to buy real estate in Kenya?

This is a part of Africa, where the primitive past is wonderfully combined with the industrial present, and wildlife is side by side with civilized entertainment. People from all over the world come here to visit safari parks and see with their own eyes such animals as African elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, rhinos, as well as hippopotamus birds in their natural habitat. Wishing to take a break from everyday worries, tourists enjoy the azure waters and white sand of Kenyan beaches, and outdoor enthusiasts are attracted by diving, kitesurfing and snorkeling. Many couples spend their honeymoon contemplating the amazing nature of the local unique lakes (Naivasha, Nakuru, Victoria, Bogoria, etc.) and extinct volcanic craters.

The procedure for concluding a real estate purchase and sale transaction in Kenya takes place in several stages:

  • The buyer or the real estate agent on the buyer's side checks the selected property for compliance with the declared category;
  • Lawyers from both sides conclude and sign a preliminary (conditional) contract;
  • Within 3 months after signing, the buyer must collect and provide a package of documents, which includes confirmation of payment of the fee and all other invoices;
  • After registering the contract with the relevant institution, a government official is obliged to inspect the purchased object in Kenya (apartment, cottage, villa, office space, etc.) and certify its compliance with the declared value.
