The interest of Russians, Chinese, Americans and Arab countries in the real estate market regarding permanent or residences and investments in tourism inGreece is high, especially in recent years. In this direction, we can welcome the decision of the Ministry to allow foreigners from third countries who purchase or lease property for a period of ten years in the amount of 250,000 euros or more to obtain a five-year residence permit, which can be extended for themselves and their family members.

The purpose of this measure is to attract more people to invest in our country for a long time, but this does not mean that they are given permission to live and work in Greece, and these years are not calculated when obtaining citizenship.
The response to the visa request comes in 15 days, but since the visas are "Schengen", the process is currently being reviewed, so that the relevant Land Registry document will be submitted at the same time to grant foreigners a 90-temporary visa until the end of the procedure.
