About real estate market statistics

Statistics show that today the pace of construction of new housing is incomparably low - less than one tenth of a square meter per person. This information was provided by the head of the Supervisory Board of the All-Ukrainian Union of Manufacturers of Building Materials Ivan Saliev. This indicator varies throughout the country, for example, in Kiev there are 0.47 square meters of new housing per inhabitant.

The smallest indicator that was recorded was 0.03 meters. But even despite the relatively high capital figure, it cannot be compared with similar indicators in neighboring countries - Russia or Belarus. In addition, the head of the supervisory board cited an interesting fact - even in China, where there is a very high population density, there is an average of 1 square meter of new housing per inhabitant.

Ivan Saliy noted that state activity in the field of housing construction is very low due to the small activity of the population, plus a lot of unfinished projects are a negative factor. According to statistics, their number is approximately three thousand, including small apartment buildings. Therefore, it becomes quite difficult to buy real estate in Ukraine. A certain stagnation in the field of construction is also indicated by the fact that this sphere occupies only 2.7% of the total gross income of the country.
